Access Statement for Redlands Farm Bed and Breakfast
Introduction
We aim to cater for the needs of all guests in our two bedroom Bed and Breakfast. The following statement provides a summary of our facilities. If you have any questions, please contact us by Email or Telephone. Please see the "Contact Us" page.
Pre-Arrival
Redlands Farm is located off the Westbound Carriageway of the A45 between the Stanwick and Higham Ferrers roundabouts. The main railway station is in Wellingborough, about 15 minutes away by car. We can arrange to pick you up if you let us know your expected arrival time. There are several Taxi Companies locally, several of which offer accessible vehicles. We would be happy to make a booking for you.
Arrival and Car Parking
On arrival at Redlands Farm, there is a large grey metal gate at the bottom of the drive. Please use the intercom to announce your arrival and we will open the gate for you.If you are unable to use the intercom, please call us from a mobile phone and we will open the gate remotely. In the main yard, there is a large parking area available for cars and trailers. The surface is level, flat and gravel. We will assist guests with luggage. The village of Stanwick is about a 15 minute walk from Redlands Farm.
Main Entrance and Reception
All guest accommodation is accessed from the front entrance and there are no steps or thresholds. All doors are wide enough to comfortably accommodate wheelchair users. Seating is provided in the hallway, and all floors throughout the ground floor are wooden. All corridors are wide enough for comfortable wheelchair access and there are no changes in level.
Breakfast Room/Lounge/Sun Room
Breakfast is served in this room or on the level decked area outside. Furniture is flexible and can be moved on request.
Outdoor Facilities
Visits on the Farm can be arranged subject to staff availability. These are not suitable for wheelchair users or persons unsteady on their feet, due to the nature of the ground. Please do not go onto the farm without a member of staff.
Bedrooms
There are two twin/double rooms, both with en-suite bathrooms. Bedroom 1 has an en-suite specifically adapted to the needs of disabled guests with grab rails and a fold down shower seat. Both bedrooms are equipped with a flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities and have free WiFi access. Divan beds are provided together with two chairs, and the floors are covered with a short pile carpet.
Grounds and Gardens
There is a small enclosed garden for residents which is available to sit in. There is also a large decked area extending from the Sun Room for the use of guests in clement weather and guest may choose to breakfast here.
Additional Information
Mobile telephone reception is good on site, but somewhat patchy in the surrounding area. Stanwick Lakes (Country Park) is situated opposite the farm, the entrance being approximately 10 minutes walk down the road.
